Do you have any idea why I would get painful chest lumps/knots post exercise?
I often get painful lumps on my chest that come and go. They feel squishy and appear to be just below the skin, I can sometimes almost grab one between my two fingers and I will try to massage it out, this can be a bit painful. They tend to appear after upper body exercise (in particular doing weights) along with muscle pain. I've mentioned it to my massage therapist because I thought maybe they were knots in the muscle. She said she felt a lot of them but they did not appear like knots usually do in muscles. Do you have any idea what this could be and how I could treat it? Thank you so much!
Answer
It would be very hard to say without doing an examination.
