Pandemic Vaccine Effect on Long Haulers
An interesting finding. "Word on the street" is that about 1/3 of people who developed the long hauler syndrome — the condition so similar to CFS — have noted significant (albeit sometimes transient) improvement recently after receiving the vaccine.
Although socially we have been taught to either idolize or demonize vaccines, I suspect that the truth is somewhere in the middle. Used properly, they can be very helpful. But they are not always used properly and have become a major profit center.
My goal is to simply report on what the research and common sense shows. It is not my intention to anger anybody on either side of the debate. I apologize if my interpretations of the research ever do upset you, and feel free to ignore those articles if they do. Whether you are for or against vaccines, I do love everybody on both sides, even though I don't always agree with either side :-)
Regarding vaccines and CFS/FMS, some people find that their illness flares considerably after receiving vaccines. For most of these I recommend not getting the vaccines. Others find they feel better. In fact, there is one Scandinavian study showing that frequent staph (bacterial) vaccines dramatically helped people's fibromyalgia. A current study underway looks at whether the tuberculosis vaccine also does so.
So I think the COVID-19 vaccine recommendations need to be individualized case-by-case. And this is what I endeavor to do. In sharing my findings with you!
