B Vitamins Give Your Brain a Boost
As you age, there are many factors that help keep your brain and mind functioning optimally, from mental stimulation to magnesium. One very important factor is nerve-nourishing B vitamins. A new study shows just how important they are.
Australian researchers studied 900 depressed people aged 60 to 74, giving them either a placebo or a daily supplement containing folic acid and vitamin B12. After two years, those taking the vitamin had "an improvement in cognitive functioning," including better memory, compared to the placebo group.
If you have "brain fog" from CFS, B vitamins can help with that, too.
